SALAAM ISLAMIC CENTER ONLINE QUR’AN COURSES CONTENT AND PROCEDURES:
The Qur’an is a miraculous scripture that was revealed by Allah to our Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him), that was written down in mushafs and has been passed down from the time of our Prophet until today via tawaatur, and that reading the Qur’an itself is a worship. Learning and teaching this scripture is very valuable. Our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) stated the following in a hadith: “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5027) For this reason, Muslims give extraordinary importance to the learning of the Qur’an and its correct reading. As the tradition of the Islamic science, Qur’an education has been carried out from the first day to the present through mushafaha, that is, by listening the Qur’an from a competent master (sheikh) with great attention and reciting it back to that master. This learning method derives its source from teachings of Prophet Muhammed (sunnah). As in the historical process, this method is still the only method in the education and teaching of how to recite and memorize the Qur’an.
As the Salaam Islamic Center, we bring you together with expert Qur’an teachers by using the resources of technology. Our classes will be in an online classroom environment, in groups of 5 to 7 people on average and 2 hours per week. The course duration of each level is arranged as 14 weeks (14×2=28 hours). Our students who have completed each level will receive a certificate of completion and the students who have completed all four levels will also receive a certificate of course accomplishment.
In order to receive this education, you need to register for the classes immediately and devote your 2 hours a week to the Qur’an lessons.
