Salaam Islamic Center is excited to offer a cultural tour to some Balkan countries in September 2022 in collaboration with our partner organizations across the USA. Throughout this trip, the participants will have a chance to experience the religious, cultural and historical richness in each destination.

This tour aims to;

 

  • Experience the local authentic culture,
  • Visit historical and religious landmarks

Each country in the Balkans possesses a rich history spanning centuries — from ancient time to present day. The Balkan Peninsula lies in Southeastern Europe and is home to the countries comprising former Yugoslavia, Albania, Greece and Bulgaria. Culturally, ethnically, and geographically diverse, this Balkans tour can help you have an incredibly fun and fulfilling experience traveling in this dynamic region.

 

ITINERARY

 

DAY 1: ZAGREB – PLITVICE NATIONAL PARK –BIHAC City Tour Zagreb. Lunch and pray in Karlovac. Visit Plitvice National Park. Dinner and overnight in Bihac.
DAY 2: BIHAC – JAJCE – TRAVNIK – SARAJEVO Breakfast. Depart to Jajce. Visit Plivsko Lake and Jajce Waterfall. Depart to Travnik. Lunch and pray in restaurant in Travnik. Depart to Sarajevo. Dinner and overnight in Sarajevo.
DAY 3: SARAJEVO – MOSTAR Breakfast. Visit Tunnel of Hope and Vrelo Bosne. Visit Baščaršija. Lunch and pray in Sarajevo. Depart to Mostar. Dinner and overnight in Mostar.
DAY 4: MOSTAR – BLAGAJ – DUBROVNIK –HERCEG NOVI Breakfast. Visit Stari Most. Visit Blagaj. Lunch at restaurant in Neum . Depart to Dubrovnik. Visit Old Town Dubrovnik. Dinner and overnight in Herzeg Novi.
DAY 5: HERCEG NOVI – KOTOR – BUDVA – BAR– SHKODER Breakfast. Visit Old Town Kotor. Lunch at restaurant in KOTOR. Depart to Budva Visit Old Town Budva. Overnight in Shkoder.
DAY 6: SHKODER – TIRANA – OHRID Breakfast. Depart to Tirana. Tirana city tour. Lunch and pray in Tirana. Depart to Ohrid. Visit Old Bazaar. Dinner and overnight in Ohrid.
DAY 7: OHRID – TETOVO – SKOPJE Breakfast. Depart to Skopje. Lunch and pray in Skopje. Skopje City Tour. Dinner and overnight in Skopje.
DAY 8: SKOPJE-Skopje AIRPORT Breakfast. Visit Canyon Matka. Lunch and Pray in Skopje. Free time for shopping. Departure to Skopje Airport
