In Our Prayers: A Dua for Those Affected by the Wildfires

“And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the call of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:186)

Dua for Protection from Calamities:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ
“O Allah, I ask You for safety and well-being in this world and the Hereafter.” (Sunan Ibn Maja, Hadith: 3845, Sahih)

Dua for Protection from Loss of Blessings:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ، وَتَحَوُّلِ عَافِيَتِكَ، وَفُجَاءَةِ نِقْمَتِكَ، وَجَمِيعِ سَخَطِكَ
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the decline of Your blessings, the change of the health You have given me, the suddenness of Your punishment, and from all forms of Your displeasure.” (Sahih Muslim – Hadith: 2739)

As a community, we come together in prayer for the safety, healing, and recovery of those affected by this disaster. We ask Allah (SWT) to protect our homes, loved ones, and neighbors from harm and to grant strength and ease to those who have suffered loss.

This Friday, January 10th, we invite you to join us at Salaam Islamic Center for a special Salat-ul-Istisqa’ (Rainfall Prayer), seeking Allah’s mercy and blessings through dua and prayer.

Join us in making dua, donating to relief efforts, and supporting those in need. Every prayer counts. Every act of kindness heals.

📿 Let us remember to express shukr (gratitude) and make dua for safety, health, and well-being. May Allah safeguard our community from harm and grant ease to those in hardship. Ameen.
