Mr. Bilgin has served as Pastoral Care Giver, Interfaith Dialogue Coordinator, and Executive Director for the Niagara Foundation and the Turkish Community in Minnesota, Michigan, and the Chicago area. He also worked as an instructor at Michigan State University for 4 years. Yasir received his Ph.D. From the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. He studies in the field of psychology of religion and spirituality with a focus on religious coping. He also teaches at the University of Chicago Graham School and the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is active in dialogue, writing, and presenting in various venues about the subjects of dialogue within the Abrahamic faiths, Islam, pastoral care within Muslim communities. His work in the area of interfaith dialogue and cultural diversity has been recognized by the State of Michigan and Michigan State University. Yasir is currently living with his family in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago.
